Phase 1 of PinBrief is a public news feed. We keep collection small.

What we collect

Server logs needed to run the site (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not require an account to read stories.

Cookies

An httpOnly session cookie is set only after you sign in to the admin panel. Readers are not tracked with an account cookie.

Third parties

Story images and “Read more” links go to original publishers (for example The Guardian). Hosting is on Oracle Cloud; DNS and HTTPS may pass through Cloudflare. Summaries are generated with Google Gemini on our servers — not in your browser.

Location

We do not request GPS in Phase 1. The feed is not ranked by your location yet.
