TGNPDCL announced a scheme to promote rooftop solar among households in their homes, detailing how consumers can apply through the utility's portal. Under the central financial assistance program, eligible owners may receive up to ₹30,000 for a 1‑kilowatt system, ₹60,000 for a 2‑kilowatt setup, and as much as ₹78,000 for a 3‑kilowatt installation, encouraging wider adoption of renewable energy.
