Freshwater ponds get a new lease of life under PMKSY in Andhra Pradesh

The government has allocated ₹50 crore to the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) for revitalizing freshwater ponds in Andhra Pradesh. As of now, 26 of the 105 targeted village ponds have been restored, providing improved irrigation and water conservation for local farmers. The initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity and support rural livelihoods across the state.
