Industry status to Malayalam cinema: Single-window clearance for shooting, lower power tariffs for cinema halls among proposals mooted by film bodies
Kerala's government has sent a set of recommendations from film industry groups to relevant departments as it prepares a draft policy for Malayalam cinema. The proposals include establishing a single‑window system to streamline shooting permissions, reducing electricity rates for cinema theatres, and other measures aimed at supporting production and exhibition. Officials will review the suggestions before finalising the policy.
