Mahua Moitra's plea in SC alleging eviction from circuit house to be heard on October 1
India’s Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for October 1 on a petition filed by Congress MP Mahua Moitra, who alleges she was forcibly removed from a circuit house. Moitra said that on the night of August 14 a large crowd gathered outside, chanting “Jai Shri Ram,” after she refused to vacate the premises. The court will consider her claim of unlawful eviction.
