EC reverts to allowing Form 6 submission without attached declaration in non-SIR States
The Election Commission has decided to allow Form 6 submissions without the attached declaration for states not participating in the Self‑Declared Information Registration (SIR) scheme. Form 6 is normally used for new voter registrations, but during SIR it also covered re‑enlistments of voters removed during enumeration. The EC reverts to its earlier practice of not requiring the declaration.
