Over 12,000 acres allotted for industry between 1981 and 2021 remain unutilised in Odisha: CAG
The Comptroller and Auditor General reported that more than 12,000 acres designated for industrial projects in Odisha from 1981 to 2021 have not been developed. The audit also found that the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences in Bhubaneswar occupied about 10 acres of forest land without permission. The findings highlight under‑utilisation of allocated land and alleged illegal forest use.
