Government to assess crop damage at mandal level, cover losses outside drought list: Fadnavis
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that Maharashtra will evaluate crop damage at the mandal (taluka) level, extending relief to farmers whose losses fall outside the official drought list. About 265 of the state's 358 talukas—roughly 74%—have already been classified as drought‑affected. The assessment will guide the amount of financial aid provided to impacted growers in the coming months.
