BMIC project: H.D. Kumaraswamy fires salvo at Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, accusing him of making ‘illegal land purchases’
Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, leader of the JD (S), alleged that Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar engaged in illegal land acquisitions linked to the Bangalore Metropolitan Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project. Kumaraswamy said Shivakumar, while serving as Urban Development Minister and BMICP Authority chairman in 2004, made decisions that breached the project's original framework agreement and raised concerns about transparency.
