U.S. waives tariffs on certain speciality drugs from 20 countries, including India
Washington announced that it will eliminate import tariffs on a range of specialty medicines from twenty nations, among them India. The tariff exemption covers drugs used to treat rare conditions, infertility, cell and gene therapies, antibody‑drug conjugates and veterinary products, as well as the components used to manufacture them. The move aims to lower costs for these advanced therapies.
