FDA officials extorting lakhs from eateries, quick-commerce firms, alleges Raut; seeks probe
Union Minister Sanjay Raut claimed that officials of the Food Safety and Standards Authority are demanding large sums from restaurants and quick‑commerce platforms, threatening licence suspension. He said designated officers, assistant commissioners and food safety officers are openly extorting businesses and called for an investigation into the alleged misconduct.
