Supreme Court agrees to list next week plea to suspend CEC Gyanesh Kumar from office
The Supreme Court scheduled a hearing for next week on a petition seeking to suspend Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Senior counsel for petitioner Rakesh Kumar Singh asked the bench, led by Chief Justice Surya Kant, to order that Kumar refrain from performing CEC duties until the case is fully heard. The court agreed to list the matter.
