Karnataka SIR: Over 4,000 Form-7 seek deletion of names, largely Muslim voters, across Congress, BJP seats
Karnataka’s State Election Commission reported receiving more than 4,000 Form‑7 petitions to remove voter names, predominantly targeting Muslim electors in both Congress and BJP constituencies. In the Babaleshwar constituency alone, 1,373 petitions were filed on September 22, with 1,363 submitted by just ten individuals seeking deletions of Muslim voters who reside outside their designated polling stations.
