SIR: Over 4,000 Form-7 seek deletion of names, largely Muslim voters, across Congress, BJP seats
More than 4,000 Form‑7 petitions have been submitted to remove voter names, predominantly targeting Muslim electors, in constituencies held by the Congress and BJP. In the Babaleshwar constituency alone, 1,373 petitions were lodged on September 22, with 1,363 filed by just ten individuals. The applications seek to delete voters who are not registered at the applicants’ own polling stations.
