Floods damage crops of 71,796 farmers and 2,405 km of roads in Andhra Pradesh; Godavari rises again
Heavy rains have caused the Godavari River to swell, flooding parts of Andhra Pradesh. Preliminary data show that crops in 1,229 villages across 190 mandals were damaged, impacting roughly 71,800 farmers. The flooding also destroyed about 2,405 kilometres of roads, disrupting transport and agricultural activities throughout the state. Authorities are assessing further losses and working to restore connectivity.
