BJP’s SC/ST Lok Sabha MPs took part in fewer debates than House average and party peers
In the 18th Lok Sabha, 46 BJP MPs elected from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe constituencies participated in an average of 13.9 debates, according to PRS data. This figure falls below the overall House average of 21.5 debates and the average of 19.7 debates for BJP MPs from non‑SC/ST seats. The data highlights a participation gap within the party.
