Keralam Forest Minister outlines multi-layered strategy to tackle human-elephant conflict
Kerala’s forest minister unveiled a multi‑layered plan to curb human‑elephant conflict. High‑risk areas will receive a three‑tiered defence system, while zones with fewer incidents get proportionate measures. The strategy includes barriers, early‑warning alerts and habitat management, and the minister said resources will be allocated according to threat intensity to protect residents and wildlife in the state.
