Restoring 5 GHz Wi-Fi on an LG C5 by changing its webOS region
An LG C5 smart TV can’t connect to 5 GHz Wi‑Fi networks because its webOS region defaults to a country that blocks the band. Users discovered that switching the TV’s region setting to the United States (or another 5 GHz‑compatible locale) restores 5 GHz support. The change is made through the TV’s system settings and requires a reboot.
