Travel operators seek one-month tax waiver for out-of-State tourist vehicles during Mysuru Dasara
A coalition of travel operators has appealed to Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Transport Minister Byrathi Suresh and the state transport commissioner, seeking a one‑month exemption from taxes and permit charges for tourist buses arriving from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa and Maharashtra during the Mysuru Dasara celebrations. The association argues that the relief would encourage visitors and support local businesses during the festival.
