Belagavi’s Ganesh immersion extended over 42 hours, starting with a public procession on the evening of September 25 after the customary puja and aarti at Hutatma Chowk. The idols were carried through the city’s streets toward the immersion site, where the ritual concluded after the lengthy schedule, marking the end of the local Ganesh festival celebrations.
