River Sabri recedes, Godavari rises, authorities on alert
In India, authorities placed districts on alert as the Godavari river swelled while the Sabri river fell. They warned residents of more than 160 villages about rising water levels. To safeguard health, 134 pregnant women were transferred to nearby hospitals, and 105 relief centres were opened to provide shelter, food and medical assistance to those affected.
