Tribal students to launch 180-km march to Mumbai on September 28 over poor residential school facilities
Students from tribal residential schools in Maharashtra will begin a 180‑kilometre march to Mumbai on September 28, protesting inadequate facilities. Their demands include the resignation of Tribal Development Minister Ashok Uike, the transfer of the department’s secretary and commissioner, and provision of basic amenities, including sanitation, water and electricity, for tribal schools and hostels for students.
