Mobile phone retailers to protest against UPI MDR charges on October 2
India's mobile phone retailers, represented by the All India Mobile Retailers Association for Delhi NCR, will stage a symbolic protest on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, against the government's mandated UPI merchant discount rate. Shops plan to drape UPI QR codes with black cloth and temporarily stop accepting UPI transactions to highlight the financial burden of the charges.
