Over 2000 citizens write to CJI to stay SIR, initiate suo motu proceedings on EC conduct
More than two thousand Indian citizens have sent a letter to the Chief Justice of India, urging the court to halt the Supreme Court’s suo motu intervention and to launch its own suo motu inquiry into the Election Commission’s actions. The petition also requests an independent, court‑supervised probe into claims that voter‑registration software and forms were altered without proper authorization.
