2024 Lok Sabha polls: DMDK’s Vijaya Prabhakaran to withdraw election petition against Congress MP Manickam Tagore’s victory
Vijaya Prabhakaran, representing the DMDK, announced he will retract the legal challenge he filed against Congress candidate Manickam Tagore’s win in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The petition had alleged that former DMK ministers K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran, Thangam Thennarasu and P. Moorthy attempted to influence the Returning Officer. The withdrawal ends the court case. The decision was taken ahead of any further judicial proceedings.
