Jharkhand govt. opposing mines Act to facilitate coal theft, says Annpurna Devi
Union Minister Annpurna Devi said the Jharkhand government is opposing the Mines Act, alleging it would enable coal theft. She accused the ruling JMM, Congress and RJD of misleading the public. Devi added that the legislation would create employment opportunities for local youth, help curb out‑migration from the state, and reduce reliance on jobs elsewhere as part of its development agenda.
