Vulture survey begins in Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
Authorities have launched a systematic survey of vulture populations within Kerala's Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. The study will map the birds' current distribution, assess their numbers and health, and identify threats they face. Findings are intended to guide targeted conservation actions for these scavengers, whose ecological role is critical for ecosystem balance in the region of the Western Ghats.
