Three-capitals petitions infructuous now that Amaravati is Andhra’s capital by law, High Court says
The Andhra Pradesh High Court ruled that petitions challenging the state’s three‑capital plan are now moot, confirming Amaravati as the official capital under law. Chief Justice Lisa Gill’s bench deferred several pending matters to 20 November, clearing the way for the upcoming Supreme Court, which is expected to hear appeals to the 2022 Amaravati decision on 29 November.
