India, Chile to start talks for comprehensive trade pact: PM
India and Chile will commence negotiations on a broad trade agreement, aiming to expand bilateral commerce. The talks follow a recent contract between Chile’s state copper miner CODELCO and India’s Hindustan Copper, which may lessen Chile’s reliance on China for copper sales. Both governments also pledged to strengthen joint research and activities in Antarctica in the near term.
