More than 88,000 Ganesh idols immersed in Telangana: DGP
In Telangana, over 88,000 Ganesh idols were submerged during the festival, prompting the deployment of more than 25,000 police officers in Hyderabad. Additional security forces, CCTV cameras, and emergency services were also mobilized to manage crowds and ensure safety as the immersions extended into Friday night. The Director General of Police reported the figure. The event was part of the annual Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
