Declaration part of Form 6 changed since SIR in Bihar
The Election Commission of India clarified that a separate declaration form, combining Form 6 and Form 8, was approved by its three‑member commission when the State Information Retrieval (SIR) process began in Bihar last year. The form was later ratified again during phases two and three of the SIR rollout. This clarification came after concerns about changes to the declaration part of Form 6, which could affect disclosures.
