Belagavi: ECI officials reject BJP MLA’s request for scrutiny and deletion of 2,598 votes
Election Commission officials in Belagavi have turned down a request by BJP legislator Abhay Patil to scrutinise and remove 2,598 votes. Patil alleged that the electoral roll contains false entries and asked for an inquiry. The commission said the petition does not meet criteria for a vote‑count audit, and therefore the votes will remain counted.
