18th IDSFFK begins under a cloud of censorship
Kerala’s 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival (IDSFFK) opened amid concerns over censorship, as the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting refused exemption for 31 selected films. The state’s Chalachitra Academy, led by the cultural affairs minister, said it is pursuing all avenues, including legal action, to obtain clearance for the screenings in the coming days.
