Centenary of Dalit entry into temple to be organised in Tirupati
Officials in Tirupati are preparing a series of events to mark the 100‑year anniversary of Dalits being allowed to enter the town’s prominent temple. The centenary observance will highlight the historic change that opened the shrine to previously excluded communities and aims to promote continued social inclusion. Various cultural and religious programmes are slated for the commemoration.
