Andhra to sell super-fine rice at ₹50 a kg, onions at ₹35, and pay MSP to move farmers off paddy
Andhra Pradesh will market super‑fine rice at ₹50 per kilogram and onions at ₹35 per kilogram. The state also plans to purchase ragi, red gram and black gram at full minimum support price, and up to 30% of green gram, chickpea, groundnut and sunflower. The scheme aims to shift cultivation on 8.81 lakh hectares away from paddy and chilli during the rabi season.
