Consumer case backlog in Keralam rises to 26,668; district commissions see sharp jump in pendency
An amicus curiae report filed with the Supreme Court indicates that Kerala's consumer district commissions now have a backlog of 26,668 cases, a rise of about 76% since December 2023. The pending caseload is roughly double that of Karnataka and more than six times the level in Tamil Nadu, highlighting a sharp increase in pendency across the state.
