Revisit SIR exercise, CEC must resign: Naveen Patnaik on report of internal disquiet in poll panel
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik called for a review of the SIR exercise and urged the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar after a newspaper report revealed internal dissent within the Election Commission. The report said Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi lodged at least 14 formal objections to the CEC’s decisions over the last ten months.
