Supreme Court seeks Goa Police’s response on Tarun Tejpal’s appeal against rape case conviction
India’s Supreme Court has asked the Goa police to submit a written response regarding journalist Tarun Tejpal’s petition challenging his conviction for rape. Tejpal, who was sentenced to ten years of rigorous imprisonment, turned himself in to a Goa court on September 14 to begin serving the term. The court’s request is part of the appeal process.
