Veeramani case: two IPS officers shunted out, placed on compulsory wait
Two senior IPS officers, A. Arun, ADGP of the Tamil Nadu Police Academy, and N. Kannan, Coimbatore Police Commissioner, have been removed from their posts and placed on compulsory wait. Their removal follows the emergence of a complaint alleging that R. Veeramani, owner of Gem Granites, engaged in predatory sexual conduct involving minor girls while they oversaw the Chennai Police Commissionerate.
