The many categories of SIR’s logical discrepancy list keep voters on toes
India’s Statewise Implementation Review (SIR) has expanded its logical discrepancy framework to include up to eleven distinct categories, up from the original four used when the system was first introduced in West Bengal. The new categories are being applied across multiple states and union territories during the third phase of the review, aiming to improve consistency in voter data assessment.
