Kerala HC reserves order on Thachankary’s plea for suspension of sentence in disproportionate assets case
Kerala’s High Court has postponed ruling on former police chief P. Thachankary’s request to stay his conviction for possessing disproportionate assets. A vigilance court in Kottayam earlier found the ex‑Director General of Police guilty of accumulating wealth beyond his means while serving as Inspector General between 2003 and 2007. The case remains under judicial review. Pending an appeal by the prosecution.
