Use rainwater to fill water bodies downstream of irrigation projects, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu tells officials
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohammad Naidu instructed officials to capture rainwater and direct it into reservoirs and other water bodies located downstream of irrigation schemes in Andhra Pradesh. He recommended deploying mobile pumps to lift water where gravity cannot move it and urged ongoing monitoring, noting that significant runoff is expected to enter local rivers and streams.
