New Begonia species described from Arunachal Pradesh
Botanists have identified a new Begonia species, Begonia neelamorum, in Arunachal Pradesh's Keyi Panyor district. The plant is named after the Neelam clan of the Nyishi tribe. It marks the 54th Begonia species documented from India's northeastern region, expanding the known flora diversity of the area. The discovery was reported by The Hindu, highlighting ongoing botanical research in the Himalaya foothills.
