Digi Yatra set to include international travel, domestic air travel for foreigners
Digi Yatra, India's biometric boarding system, will be extended to cover international journeys and domestic flights taken by foreign passengers. The face‑recognition boarding feature remains pending because many airports lack the required infrastructure. A pilot for outbound international flights is scheduled from October through December at five major hubs: Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi and Mumbai.
