TMC symbol freeze row: Supreme Court asks EC adjudication timeline
The Supreme Court has directed the Election Commission to establish a timetable for resolving the dispute surrounding the Trinamool Congress’s symbol freeze. The Commission previously indicated that an interim order, issued under the 1968 Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, will remain in force throughout the ongoing bye‑elections and will stay effective until a final decision on the matter is reached.
