Two electrocuted, Visakhapatnam waterlogged as deep depression crosses Andhra coast after two days of rain
A deep depression moving along the Andhra coast has caused severe flooding in Visakhapatnam after two days of heavy rain, dumping roughly 170 mm in eight hours. The deluge toppled 48 trees and left two people dead from electrocution. Rising waters in the Vamsadhara and Nagavali rivers affected Srikakulam, and the Indian Meteorological Department says the system will retain strength for 12 more hours before weakening.
