At least nine killed as sleeper bus catches fire on Yamuna Expressway; driver, conductor arrested for culpable homicide
A sleeper bus traveling from Delhi to Mahua in Uttar Pradesh caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway near the 33‑kilometre marker around 11 p.m., killing at least nine people. About 35 passengers were on board. Survivors said the vehicle filled with smoke and they struggled to get out. Police arrested the driver and conductor on charges of culpable homicide.
