MoD inks ₹811 crore contract for 160 SAT-SAAW glide bombs for IAF
India’s Ministry of Defence signed an 811‑crore rupee deal for 160 SAT‑SAAW glide bombs, a weapon system developed domestically. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh attended the signing in New Delhi. The contract falls under the Buy (Indian‑Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured) initiative, aiming to boost local defence production. These glide bombs are designed for strikes against targets and are part of the Force’s modernization plan.
