OpenAI’s new GPT‑6 model, dubbed Astra, can now control a vehicle’s steering, acceleration, and braking in real‑time simulations. The system uses reinforcement learning on a virtual car platform, translating natural language commands into driving actions. While the model demonstrates advanced perception and decision‑making, it remains confined to simulated environments and has not yet been tested on physical cars.
