Chhattisgarh recruitment exam ‘scam’: ED alleges ₹45 lakh CSR payment to ex-CGPSC chief for favouring businessman's kin
The Enforcement Directorate has accused former Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission chief Taman Singh Sonwani of orchestrating a ₹45‑lakh CSR payment to a businessman’s relative to influence recruitment exams. Sonwani, who led the commission from 2020 to 2023, was arrested in July amid a money‑laundering probe that also covers alleged question‑paper leaks and exam manipulation in 2020 and 2021.
